Hi all,
Long time no speak, or, if this is your first one of these, I’m Ollie. I own TierZero, and going forward you’ll be hearing and seeing a lot more from me, whether that’s on our YouTube channel, in our upcoming Discord, or at least once a month here on the blog.
This update should have gone out about a month ago, but we hoped we wouldn’t need to make a big deal of the situation. Unfortunately it started affecting our service, which is the last thing we ever want. If you just want the short version:
-
We’ve been pretty terrible for the last two months. Our office move fell through halfway through the relocation. While officeless, I then decided to move myself, my family, and the entire business over 300 miles. It took forever and caused huge logistical issues - but it’s finally done.
-
For those affected by last month’s poor service, we’ve issued store credit. If you suffered in silence, send us an email and we’ll make it right.
-
Riftbound is now live on the site, with more games, accessories, and singles on the way.
-
Black Friday sale starts next week.
-
Exciting projects are coming for the new year.
Now, the longer version.
We were pretty vocal about moving into a new office space that we thought was going to be a game-changer. It was an amazing space, but it came with a few hidden issues that dragged the move out for nearly six months. Eventually, we had to pull out of the lease entirely. The real problem: this happened right when we were due to leave our existing building.
So part of September and all of October, was spent operating out of my house (which i was also trying to move) and a set of storage containers. As it turns out, that is far from ideal. On top of that, not having an official business address caused problems with our logistics partners, leading to missed collections, missing bags of post and general chaos.
The result: our customer service and delivery times last month were simply not good enough.
The upside is that it pushed me to make a big change. I relocated the business, myself and my family, to the other end of the country. It was a huge job, but we are now settled into our new warehouse and our soon-to-open local game store.
Obviously, poor service is not what we’ve built our reputation on over the past seven years. We’ve already issued store credit to the customers we know were affected, but if you feel one of your orders last month was impacted, just email us and we’ll sort it.
Now for the more exciting stuff.
Yu-Gi-Oh! hasn’t been fantastic recently, but things finally seem to be heading in the right direction. Over the next month (including during the sale), we expect to restock around 500,000 cards plus a ton of sealed product, OCG accessories, and unique items we’ve had on hold. Our new facility also lets us revive the Vault with more rare items, and we’re working with select individuals on consignment - meaning you’ll see a huge range of new products hit the site.
You may also have noticed more Pokémon and MTG appearing recently. We’ve always sold these, but in the past we listed them mostly on other marketplaces rather than our website. Over the next few months, you’ll find both sealed product and singles for these lines on our site, along with One Piece, Riftbound, and possibly one or two more titles.
Black Friday is approaching fast. We expect our sale to start around 20th November, and I’ll post another update here and on social media a few days before. As always, it’ll cover around 80–90% of our products, with various specials running throughout the week.
That’s my quick roundup of what’s been going on and what’s coming next. You’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more from me moving forward, so if there’s anything specific you want from us, just let me know and I’ll do my best.
A few small spoilers for the coming months:
